Prize Details

Competitours team travel competition trip to Europe guarantees a $9000 prize pool for the top three placing teams on each trip.

• 1st Place Team: share $5500 or 220,000 Starwood Preferred Guest ® Starpoints® 

• 2nd Place Team: share $2500 or 100,000 Starwood Preferred Guest ® Starpoints®
• 3rd Place Team: share $1000 or 40,000 Starwood Preferred Guest ® Starpoints®

Prize Logistics and Accountability

Competitours offers a straightforward policy to insure prizes are redeemed quickly. We will arrange for the Cash to be transfered into a third party escrow account 21 days prior to the trip. An official Starwood representative will confirm that Competitours is authorized to transfer points to the winning teams. So each team can independently and transparently confirm that the grand prize is indeed locked and loaded.

Cash is payable as a registration fee rebate. 50% of each cash prize will be forwarded to each teammate within 4 business days after the trip conclusion.

50% of each Starwood Preferred Guest® Starpoints® prize will be forwarded to a Starwood account under each teammate’s name within 4 business days after the trip...unless team instructs that all points should be placed into one joint account.

To insure that Competitours grand prizes are indeed awarded in a timely and complete manner, we will not initiate collecting our 'Pay AFTER Trip' funds from teams UNTIL they receive an email from winning teams confirming receipt of their cash or points.

Best Usage of Starpoints

While there are many ways of spending Starpoints, Competitours owner and frequent flyer/hotel point guru Steve Belkin recommends redeeming:

• 'Nights and Flights' 70,000 SPG points = 5 nights at Category 4 hotel plus 50,000 frequent flyer miles.
