2010 European Tours
17 teams will take part on each 10-day trip. When registering, we ask that you provide all dates that you have available. As one of your tour dates fills up, we will notify your team to get ready.

The trip is open to anyone from any country with a valid passport or visa to Western and Central Europe. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
2010 European Tour Pricing
$2675 per person (double occupancy)
We ask for a $100 advance deposit, with the rest paid a few days after the trip has completed. Click here to read more about our "Pay Afterwards" and "Truth in Pricing" policies.
Tour Price Includes
- Roundtrip Airfare: From East Coast gateway airport to surprise European city; return travel from different European city.
- 7 Nights Lodging: Double occupancy/private bathroom European Standard; 2, 2.5 or 3 Star lodging in center of town, convenient to public transport.
- Intercity Transport: Eurail point to point train tickets and short haul intra-Europe airline tickets where applicable.
- 2 Days of Admissions: For group challenge sessions
- 2 Receptions: Welcome and Awards

Tour Price Excludes
- Airfare Add-Ons: Domestic airfares to/from our East Coast gateway airport are quoted separately.
- Meals: Decentralized nature of our trip does not allow for any coordinated group meals. On occasion, breakfast will be included with your hotel stay. You’ll have the option of eating some lunches as part of daily culinary challenges.
- Local Transport: We do not have tour buses because each team has their own unique daily itinerary. In most instances, your best value will be a subway/bus daily pass averaging between $7-$12 per day. On occasion, local bike rentals will be an attractive option.
- Admissions: For 5 days worth of challenges. Every dollar you spend is your decision, based on your touring preferences. We expect admissions to run on AVERAGE, $40-55 per day. This average can go higher or lower based on the dollar's foreign exchange rate and your personal touring choice (e.g., champagne factory tour costs more than a scavenge through an ethnic market).
- Communications: There is no uniform means of anticipating all of the different video uploading, internet connection logistics of each team.
- Personal Expenses: The usual – laundry, trip/medical insurance, shopping.
- Credit Card: Processing fee of 2.5% ($60)
Tour Options
- Reduce Your Competitours Price:
- If you wish to redeem frequent flyer miles for your trip, your price will be deducted by $700. You simply provide us your account info and we will book your flights. To maintain the surprise aspect of the trip, we will book you into a 'decoy' city, then a separate ticket into our actual first city.
- If you have good credit score, through strategic credit card registration bonuses and modest spending requirements, there is an opportunity to REDUCE your Competitours price. Contact us to learn how to earn enough miles for a FREE ticket to Europe (save $700 off 2010 price) and enough hotel points for 2 FREE hotel nights (save $140 off 2010 price).
- There is no guarantee that mileage award tickets will be available on the necessary date or routing required for a given trip. If there is no mileage award availability at 45 days prior to the trip date, then it is the client's decision whether to book a ticket with the group or continue to wait for availability to open. Tickets that have to be purchased within 45 days will be subject to prevailing fares, which will likely be $200-400 above group price.
- Hotel Upgrades (quoted upon request)
- Non-US Participants: Pricing for non-US participants will be re-calculated to reflect the airfare from their origin city.
Cancellation Fees
Teams that pay the $100 confirmation fee per person within 14 days of being advised that their trip date has been greenlighted, will be subject to the following straightforward cancellation policy:
- Cancellations more than 45 days prior to trip date: forfeit $100 confirmation fee
- Cancellations 30-45 days prior to trip date: forfeit $100 confimation fee plus $350 and cost of airline ticket to/from Europe (which will be converted into a voucher for future use by customer)
- Cancellations 29 days or less prior to trip date: forfeit $100 confimation fee plus $750 and cost of airline ticket to/from Europe (which will be converted into a voucher for future use by customer)
Foreign Exchange Rate Fluctuation Pricing Consideration
Competitours strives to offer pricing information that is clear, straightforward and honest. Because of the fluctuations in foreign exchange rates and airfares, it is difficult to lock down pricing far in advance. At the same time, we understand that potential customers need to have reasonably accurate idea of how to budget for our trip. To bridge the gap, we offer pricing based on the exchange rate of $1 USD = $0.67 Euro from www.xe.com. Revised pricing may be quoted 45 days prior to each trip IF the exchange rate has increased or decreased more than 7.5%. Teams may choose to opt out of their trip with no cancellation/penalty fees if they choose not to accept revised pricing.
